  1. this does not fix the issue entirely. you need to go into Adapter power
settings and set to max performance otherwise the power management dips the
power when it’s idle, or even sometimes when it’s not idle.

  2. You. Are. A. Legend.

    That is all.

  3. I have exhausted every option for fixes now and the issue still persists,
I’m thinking that manually shutting down IVp6 in the registry might be the
last “conventional” option left to me at this point. The command prompts
work for about 15-20 minutes after reboot, same with driver changes,
adjusting power settings to max on wireless hardware and everything else
I’ve tried; the wifi still simply won’t work at all for any extended period
of time and I’m beyond frustrated at this point since it basically cripples
the entire point of buying a notebook to begin with. If anyone reads this
and has any advice; I’d really appreciate it. I have the Asus R556LA
noteboom with the dreaded Broadcom 802.11n setup, and I’m just about ready
to take the whole thing sharply to the face of whomever decided that
Windows 8 and 8.1 was passable as a OS to force on consumers.

  4. I don’t see “Intel(R) Centrino(R) Advanced-N 6200 AGN” on my laptop. Help
    please!
